Los Angeles Angels Third Baseman Anthony Rendon Was Removed During The Fourth Inning Of Friday Nights Game Against The Atlanta Braves Due To A Right Elbow Contusion

Anthony Rendon Injured!

Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon was removed during the fourth inning of Friday night's game against the Atlanta Braves due to a right elbow contusion.

Rendon was hit by a pitch in the second inning and remained in the game long enough to hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning.

He was replaced at third base by Luis Rengifo.

The Angels have not yet released any further information on Rendon's injury.

Rendon is batting .265 with 25 home runs and 85 RBIs this season.

He is a key part of the Angels' offense and his absence would be a big blow.

The Angels are currently in third place in the AL West, 5.5 games behind the Houston Astros.

They are 5-5 in their last 10 games.
